Biographie

Born Sarah Grace McLaughlin, Bishop Briggs took her professional name from a place in Scotland from where her family hails. Based now in Los Angeles, California the singer-songwriter and pianist had a hit with her song 'River' which went to number three on Billboard's Alternative Songs Chart and number ten on the Hot Rock Songs Chart in 2016. Her latest single 'Dream', which went to number 25 on the Alternative Chart and number 30 on the Hot Rock Chart, preceded a debut album which was released in the spring of 2018.

Born in London, England she was taken by her parents at the age of four to Tokyo where she sang karaoke and started to write songs as a child. The family moved to Hong Kong when she was ten where she attended the Hong Kong International School. She moved to Los Angeles, studied at the Musician's Institute and began to perform at local venues. She followed 'River' with 'Wild Horses', which reached number 17 on the Alternative Song Chart and number 21 on the Hot Rock list in 2017. 'So Tied Up' with Cold War Kids peaked at number 12 and number 28 respectively the same year. A self-titled EP with six tracks including 'River' and 'Wild Horses' came out in April 2017. She has opened for Coldplay and Kalea on tour in America and performed at the Panorama Festival in New York and at Coachella 2017. She recorded a cover of the INXS song 'Never Tear Us Apart' for the soundtrack of 'Fifty Shades Freed' and released her debut studio album 'Church of Scars' in 2018.
