Biographie

Zsofia Boros is a Czech guitarist who has won international acclaim for her recordings of world music with a style on the guitar that has been described as intimate and beautiful. Praised for celebrating the works of a wide variety of composers from around the world, her 2013 album 'En Otra Parte' features music from Argentina, Brazil and Cuba and her 2016 release 'Local Objects' includes works from French, Italian, Austrian and Azerbaijani composers as well.

Born in Prague, she studied at Bratislava Conservatory, Bartók Conservatory in Budapest, University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and Francisco Tárrega Guitar Academy in Italy. She won prizes in several regional competitions and released the album 'Evocation' with flautist Daniela Lahner as Duo Agileo in 2006. Her solo recording debut was on 'Musicbox' in 2008. Her 2018 dates included a June performance in Landeck, Austria.
