Biographie

Sam Hunt was born in Cedartown, Georgia in 1984 where, as a teenager, he played football for the local high school receiving numerous accolades from within the world of college football. After having a try-out in 2007 for the Kansas City Chiefs, Hunt's ambitions faltered and he decided to pursue a career in music, much to the surprise of family, friends and football colleagues.

After moving to Nashville he became a jobbing songwriter, writing material for other artists until 2014 when he signed a solo deal with MCA and had a number one with his 2014 debut single 'Leave the Night On' which went on to gain platinum certification. This was followed up by his critically-acclaimed debut album 'Montevallo' which also went to number one in the Top Country Charts and hit number three in the Billboard 200. Hunt has become one of the most exciting talents to emerge from Nashville in recent years and has the ability to cross genres and appeal to a wide audience base.
