Biographie

Né à Hambourg le 29 juin 1988, le rappeur allemand Kristoffer Jonas Klauß prend le nom de Gzuz, abréviation de « Ghetto Zeug Unzensiert ». Membre du groupe 187 Strassenbande aux côtés de Bonez MC, Maxwell et LX, il s'émancipe pour une carrière solo après avoir tâté de la prison pour vol. Le groupe milite alors pour sa libération lors d'une tournée baptisée Free Gzuz Tour en 2012. De retour à la scène aprè son incarcération, Gzuz se remet au travail et collabore avec Bonez MC sur l'album High und Hungrig (n°9 en 2014), suivi deux ans plus tard par un second volume classé numéro un. Entre temps sort son premier album solo Ebbe und Flut (2015), qui se classe n°2 et récolte un disque d'or. En 2017, il retrouve ses camarades de 187 Strassenbande pour l'album Sampler 4 et le hit « Millionär », puis Wolke 7 en 2018. En 2019, Gzuz retrouve les classements avec le titre solo « Vor der Tür » (n°58).

Kristoffer Jonas Klauß, who goes by the name Gzuz, is a German rapper who gained fame as a member of the hip-hop group 187 Strassenbande, which was formed in Hamburg in 2006. They have had several hits in Germany even as Gzuz spent three years in prison on a theft charge. Gzuz released his first solo album 'High & Hungrig' with Bonez MC in 2014 followed by 'Ebbe & Flut' (2015) and 'High & Hungrig 2' (2016) with Bonez MC, which topped the German chart. A provocative track called 'Was Hast Du Gedacht' earned him international attention in 2018 when the video blog Worldstar Hip Hop posted it on the web.
